WALK THROUGH 3-D Archery Course

The "Walk-Through 3-D Archery Course is now open to members and the public. There are 18 targets ranging from small animals such as turkeys, raccoons and fox to larger animals such as coyote, deer and bear. Most targets are set to be shot at from 20 yards, but most can be shot at a closer distance and some at a farther distance.  If you need to check your sights you can use the larger bullseye targets before you start on the woods walk-through course. Before you start on the course you must meet with one of the Archery Range Officers for a safety briefing.

 No broad heads allowed.

The days and hours are the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10:00am until 4:00pm, weather permitting.

Range Safety Officers

Orange hats identify the wearer as a Range Safety Officer.  These volunteers help members to make sure that we are all using the ranges safely. Target placement is one of their concerns making sure that bullets are impacting the backstop dirt mounds. Other concerns include the use of eye/ear protection, gun handling, use of the range sirens, archery range safety, and indoor range safety.  They also check to make sure that members are wearing their membership cards as we have received reports of non-members entering and using the club ranges.  These volunteers do not perform the traditional Range Officer duties such as calling commands on shooting lines.  We ask that all members keep these issues in mind and even though you aren't wearing an orange hat, watch out for unsafe practices and help others who may not know that what is being done is not safe.

Indoor Range Targets

It has come to our attention that someone has been improperly shooting targets in the indoor range. Targets have been stapled in between the correct firing points. This will not be tolerated. This causes the life of the replaceable plywood to diminish greatly. Which in turn drives the maintenance costs up. Below are photos to better demonstrate the point.
