Muzzleloaders
Muzzleloading is one of the most successful and popular traditional style shooting
programs at the Butler County Sportsmen Rifle and Pistol Club.
Matches are held the first Sunday of the month, from February through December.
Muzzleloaders are nice folks who enjoy a sport that is not only FUN, but has great
historic importance too! Traditional muzzleloading long guns of any period are
welcome at club muzzleloader matches, so long as they load from the business end.
Ear plugs or ear muffs are required at matches. A good breeze is always
welcome too!!
There's something very special about spending time challenging
your skills in the cool morning air with your rifle in the serene green rifle range with
lots of great friends. Many match participants go on to win prestigious awards at National
Level muzzleloading shooting events too.
A variety of traditional targets are used at matches.
